At Potter Associates, we have have successfully designed many projects in our 25 year history. Although we are only as good as our last work, we are still proud of many of our past ventures, so we thought we’d present a selection here in this archived projects page. It includes both concept designs and temporary exhibition work. Please check back regularly to see what’s new.
As part of a project to improve the interior of Harrogate Baptist Church and make it more multi-functional, Potter Associates undertook a design exercise to rationalise and update the space whilst retaining its historic atmosphere. Designs included a purpose built baptistry covered by a striking new communion table that the Ancient Monument Society described as “…one of the most compelling and confident expressions of Baptist Belief since the War.”
Second in the series of interactive displays, Aviation Heritage Lincolnshire wished to focus on Transport Command by highlighting their part in Operation Market, the large logistical drop of troops and equipment immortalised by the battle for Arnhem. As with the Bomber Command interactive, the unit comprised of a number of simple interactive stations that visitors had to visit to understand the story. The narrative was illustrated with new comic style drawings. Budget £9,000
The Royal Logistic Corps asked for concept designs to fill their new purpose-built museum near Winchester. Our designs were inspired by bar codes that are used by the Corps to track supplies around the world. Along with a dynamic interpretative display, the concept we created also included an integrated cafe and shop, and a meeting room that also held the regimental silver.
In 2016, Arundel Museum commissioned the design of a temporary WWI Food and Rationing exhibition. It comprised of two distinct units exploring food distribution in the Arundel area during war time. The exhibition was originally scheduled to be on display for one weekend but ended up lasting nearly two months, such was the positive response to it.
